What we believe

What we believe connects us with Christians from many churches around the world. It is the foundation for everything we do.

— God

We believe in the one eternal God, the Creator of all things. He exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is love itself and perfectly holy.

— The Bible

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is true, binding, and authoritative for our daily lives.

— Sin & the Good News

We believe that sin separated humanity from God and His purpose for our lives. We believe that Jesus Christ, fully divine and fully human, came into the world to reconcile us with God. He lived a perfect life, free from guilt, died on the cross as our substitute, and rose again on the third day to claim victory over sin and death and to enable us to live a new life. We believe that we receive forgiveness and are born again when we trust in Jesus Christ, confess our sins, and accept His will for our lives.

— Baptism

We believe that believer’s baptism is a personal, public declaration of faith in Jesus. It symbolizes the death of our old life and the beginning of a new life in Christ. Therefore, we baptize those who have consciously decided to follow Jesus.

— The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit wants to fill us so that we can live the holy and fruitful life that God has intended for us. He wants to transform us for the better, so that we can live a Jesus-like and blessed life, take on our role in society and church, and serve the community in which we live.

— Discipleship

We believe that Jesus has called us to make disciples of all people. Following Jesus means taking His life as our model and, by the power of the Holy Spirit, becoming more like Him. We believe that every believer is invited to grow in discipleship and to guide others along the way. In doing so, we as a church are strengthened together in love for God and others and help make His kingdom visible.

— The Church

We believe in the power and significance of the church and the neccessity of believers meeting regularly for fellowship, prayer, and the celebration of communion.

— Eternity

We believe that our response to Jesus Christ determines whether we will spend eternity with or without God. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ will return, just as He promised.
